Relying on capable forces, a worldwide inspectors network, and cooperation with approved laboratories, asco is ready to provide inspections at home and abroad. Commodity inspections are divided into two groups according to customer needs:

1. Inspection in the country of manufacture of origin

These inspections are carried out to inform the buyers about the purchased goods’ status, such as the quality of the product and the cargo quantity. In general, the benefits of pre-shipment inspection (PSI) or inspection at the origin include the following:

  • Sampling and testing to check compliance of the cargo with its related standard (COI Issuance)
  • Ensuring the soundness of the goods before loading
  • Inspection of the packaging of goods to ensure the soundness of the goods in the process of transportation
  • Inspection of compliance of quantity of goods with shipping documents (weight, number packaging, etc.)
  • Reduction of customs costs during clearance

Also, to complete the process above and guarantee the quality of customers’ goods, asco international is ready to provide the following services:

PSI (Pre-shipment inspection)

A pre-shipment inspection assures that your products meet your quality standards before they are shipped.
Inspection certificates (IC) can be issued if the visual quantity and quality meet the requirements.
In addition, based on Iran’s national standard organization requirement for goods with mandatory HS codes, goods must be sampled and tested at ISO 17025 accredited labs to verify their compliance with product standard specifications and issue a certificate of inspection/Verification of conformity (COI/VOC).
In general, PSI scope includes:
  1. Random quality check
  2. Random quantity check
  3. Packing control
  4. Marking control
  5. Dimensional check
  6. Documentation review
  7. Sampling
  8. Test witness

Packaging inspection

These inspections are carried out to check the compliance of the goods with the customer’s order, the relevant standards regarding the vulnerable goods, and the ones with special identification of inspected and tested goods; inspectors attach labels and seals to cargo.

Loading/unloading supervision:

Loading/unloading supervision is inspecting products before or after shipment and it aims to ensure that the goods being shipped are those that were assessed in final random inspections and also prevent costly mishandling of goods.

Color marking

asco international offers to mark goods to help differentiate customer’s products from cargo interference, misplacement, and weight differences. This happens simultaneously with the inspection to separate customer goods (discharge supervision service is also part of the inspection process).

Factory audit

A factory audit is a type of supplier assessment that takes place at the manufacturer’s facility and its scope is as below:
  • General Introduction of the vendor
  • Qualification Certificates and Quality Control System of the factory
  • Documentation (Including MTC, Test Reports, Records, etc.)
  • Production Capacity
  • Production Line
  • Laboratory Visit
  • Storage Systems

2. Discharge port inspection

Destination inspections mainly approve goods for the banking system, using visual inspections to confirm the quantity and visual quality of goods in the destination ports. Inspection certificates can be issued if the visual quantity and quality meet the requirements.
In addition, based on Iran’s national standard organization, goods can be sampled and tested to verify their compliance with product standard specifications to issue a certificate of inspection/Verification of conformity (COI/VOC).

Discharge monitoring

Monitoring the unloading of goods to inform customers of the damage to the goods in transportation and unloading.

Condition survey

These inspections are carried out to determine the extent of the damage to the damaged goods and prepare a report for judicial follow-up and claim damages.

Sampling

Sampling of goods in destination ports intended to be used for export cargoes or compliance with the standard for imported goods containing the mandatory standard.
